In the event of an evacuation alarms will sound  and security will speak over the intercom. Patrons are asked to calmly walk towards the nearest fire exit.

• Elevators are not to be used during evacuation.
• Security will walk through the building to ensure safe evacuation (especially for patrons with disabilities).

In the event of a medical emergency patrons should contact 911 then inform security at the west Circulation Desk. 

If patrons observe unruly or disruptive behavior they are to contact either the student workers or security at the west Circulation Desk ((405) 325-3341).

In the event of severe safety concerns patrons are to contact 911.

In the event of an armed shooter, patrons are encouraged to run, hide, or fight based on what is best for the situation.

• Potential life saving measures: barricade doors with chairs and use thick books for protection. 
• Only once patrons are sure of their own safety are they to contact 911.
