Search Local Catalog
Local Catalog
Search the Local Catalog to find books, e-books, government documents, microforms, and periodicals held by Bizzell Library, the branch libraries, the special collections, the law library, and in storage.
Step One: Enter your search terms. It is often best to begin with a fairly broad search. If necessary, choose the type of material and language you want.
Step Two: Use the facets on the left to narrow your search. Click "More options" to see more. Note that you can choose both terms to include and terms to exclude.
WorldCat
- WorldCatAn international, multidisciplinary catalog of books, Internet resources, audio visual materials, manuscripts, maps, sound recordings and other materials held by over 20,000 libraries.
Use WorldCat to expand searches for books beyond the OU Libraries' holdings. Place Interlibrary Loan requests directly from WorldCat records.
Browsing
Browsing can also be an effective strategy for finding monographs and other physical materials in the library. Often, when searching for materials on the library shelves, other useful materials are located nearby.
To locate suitable subject call numbers for browsing, use the Library of Congress Classification outline.
