Tips for Locating Books
This tab will help you locate books needed for cite checking. The primary mechanism for locating books is the library catalog. Beyond OU, the WorldCat database contains the combined catalogs of over 50,000 libraries world-wide. This database can be used by the Law Library to inter-library loan materials for you.
Locating Books at OU

Locating Books Around the World
- WorldCatWorldCat is the combined catalog of more than 50,000 libraries world-wide. This should be searched whenever the OU Libraries do not have a particular book. We can use the information in this catalog to request interlibrary loans of materials owned by other libraries.
- Amazon.comIf you cannot find a book in the OU Libraries catalog or in WorldCat, you may look for it in Amazon.com. The Law Library may be able to purchase a book that is needed for cite checking. Please e-mail the information to law-libraryacquisitions@ou.edu.
