Stocks, bonds and ratios
Financial ratios provide a wealth of information for a company as well as an industry. Ratios allows the user to determine how well the industry as a whole is doing, how an individual company is performing in comparison to the industry, and how competing companies within an industry compare. Financial information is derived from annual reports and income statements.

- FactivaTo locate financial ratios do a company search. On the company snapshot page look at the left tool bar. Various ratios can be located under Peer Comparisons, Financial Results and Reports.
- MergentsTo locate financial ratios do a company search. On the company page click on the blue Company Financials tab. Under the tab for Company Financials look for Ratios.
