The UN Guiding Principals on Business and Human Rights

The UN Guiding Principals "were unanimously endorsed by the UN Human Rights Council in 2011 and are now the authoritative global reference point on business and human rights. They are based on the three pillars of the UN “Protect, Respect and Remedy” Framework, which recognize the complementary but distinct roles of states and businesses in protecting and respecting human rights."

The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples

Adopted by 147 states, the UN General Assembly created a framework outlining the basic standards for respecting the human rights of Indigenous Peoples, ensuring their preservation, respect, and flourishment.

Human Rights Statements

The UN Guiding Principles expect that businesses develop and publish a policy statement that shows it is committed to respecting human rights and how it implements that commitment both within the organization and in its actions with the outside world.
