Atomic Era Research Resources at OU
This page features select books about the Atomic Era, the Manhattan Project and Oppenheimer held at the History of Science Collections, Bizzell and/or available online (for those with OU affiliation). Most are secondary sources or modern editions of primary sources. Currently, many of these secondary source materials are available for browsing in the 5th floor Reading Nook.Select primary sources are on display in the East Hall and in cases near the Reading Room.
View our AtomicEra Materials spreadsheet for a list of items pulled for display from the History of Science Collections (Note: this list also indicates if items are available elsewhere, or online through OU's catalog). Additional materials can be identified by searching OU Libraries' online catalog. Or, visit ArchivesSpace to view the finding aid for the Jens Rud Nielsen Archive. For info about concurrent display in the 5th Floor Special Collections see Atomic Era Materials From the Collections.
