Sharing Scholarly Works
Price College of Business faculty and graduate students publish in a wide array of journals. Some of these journals support paid open access (OA) publishing. Others allow authors to archive a post-print (final draft post-refereeing) in OU’s institutional repository, SHAREOK. Openly accessible articles are more easily found by scholars around the globe; this provides an opportunity to increase readership and citation of one’s scholarly output.
The VPR’s office provides funding for hybrid (traditional subscription journal for which the author may pay a fee to make their article open access) and delayed-model OA publications. The University Libraries provides funding for gold OA publications (journals for which all articles are available OA immediately upon publication).
Post-print archiving is FREE. The University Libraries can provide a link to the publisher’s website for any post-print you wish to deposit in SHAREOK. SHAREOK has excellent Google rank and can help scholars around the world locate your scholarly output.
