Visitor Access at OU Libraries

Visitor Computer Use

Guest logins allow temporary access to public computers within the library. From these computers, guests may access most of the Libraries' databases and electronic reference materials. To obtain a guest login, visit the Computer Lab near the west entrance on the main floor of Bizzell Memorial Library or a service desk in one of our branch libraries. Temporary guest logins remain valid for two hours. The guest login and password activate upon receipt.

Visitor Borrowing Privileges

Any non-alumnus who is an Oklahoma resident and not affiliated as a student, employee, or associate of the University of Oklahoma may apply for a Borrower's Permit. The permit, good for one year, costs $50.00, and allows a library patron to borrow books from the University of Oklahoma Libraries on the Norman Campus. To apply, please print the Borrower's Permit Application and submit the form and payment (exact change or check only) to the Circulation Desk at the west entrance of Bizzell Memorial Library during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). You will also need to bring a copy of proof of residency and a valid photo ID when you come to Bizzell Memorial Library to submit your form and payment.
