Welcome to the OU Libraries!

This guide will help new international students learn about some of the OU Libraries' spaces, services, and resources. Visit the library or the library's website to learn much more! Read answers to some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), and then use the menu on the left side of the guide to explore all of the information.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Do the OU Libraries have free WIFI? - Yes. Connect to the campus-wide network named WIFI@OU and log in with your OU username and password.

2. Are food and drinks allowed in the libraries? - Yes, in most areas (there are a few exceptions). You may bring your own, or you can buy food and drinks in the Bookmark Café, located on Lower Level 1 of Bizzell Library. The Café sells Starbucks coffees and teas, plus a variety of juices, pastries, bagels, fruit, sushi, salads, sandwiches, and many other items.

3. Can I access some library resources online? - Yes. Log in to the library's website with your OU login (4x4 username) and OU password, the same login information you use to access Canvas and your OU Email account. As long as you are enrolled as a student, you will be able to access all of the library's online resources from anywhere in the world.

4. Do I need an ID card to borrow library books and other materials? - Yes. Your OU Student ID card is your library card. You need it to borrow materials from the library.
