Newspapers

This guide is a selected list of newspapers on microfilm; please check Discover Local (the catalog) to see library holdings of all periodicals.
  • Most microforms are in off-site storage. Titles, below, link to the catalog record(s) for the microform material. Within the catalog record, use Sooner Xpress to have materials retrieved from storage. 
  • See also this page for digital historical newspapers, and try a Google search on the name of the paper to see if it is has been digitized, particularly for newspapers before about 1923. See this box for current news.
  • PLEASE NOTE: The Oklahoma Historical Society has the largest collection of Oklahoma newspapers. See their site for more information.
  • PLEASE NOTE: general range of holdings listed. For complete holdings, click on title.
Once you receive the microforms you requested through Sooner Xpress,
there are machines on the fourth floor (#5 on map - PDF) 
that will allow you to read, scan, or print from the microform.
