The Sapulpa Public Library would be a great fit for students interested in any type of library. Our library is a stand-alone library which would give an intern different area to work in during their experience. Interns could work at the circulation desk, work with our children’s and teen librarian, learn how to catalog materials and then process these books for the shelves. The Sapulpa Public Library has a genealogy department, a STEM studio, summer reading program, program events throughout the year, such as in October,  a STEAM Con convention featuring steampunk outfits, vendors, performers, etc. In November there is an Author Showcase that features 12 Oklahoma authors and publishers. Past interns have helped with Summer Reading program creating and setting up a program for the summer.  Students have done their own story time and craft, shadowed the Assistant Director and Director now. Sapulpa Public Library can offer a full “librarian” experience to help students get a feel for which direction in their library career they would like to pursue.  Contact Kristin Haddock khaddock@sapulpaok.gov
