Arts and Humanities Note

Please be aware that journal-level metrics are less likely to be available for the arts and humanities. Journal Citation Reports only includes subjects in the sciences and social sciences, so the impact factor and other JCR metrics do not exist for journals outside these fields. As citations patterns in the arts and humanities tend to rely more heavily on books and primary sources, journal-level metrics are considerably less meaningful and should be used only cautiously in those subjects.

The Scimago Institute uses their own journal ranking metric based on items that are in Scopus. It may be of use to humanities scholars. The specific details of the ranking metrics is detailed in this document. You may search for a specific journal from the home page or you can explore journals by subject, type, year, and other metrics.
