Using Zotero's Word Plugiin from Laurier Library

Word Processor Integration

If you're using Zotero to collect references, chances are you will want to incorporate some of those references into a word processor document. Zotero has plugins for MS Word, LibreOffice, and Google Docs. See the videos on this page for how to do this in Word. The process for other supported word processors is similar, but for detailed instructions, see Zotero's documentation for the LibreOffice and Google Docs plugins.

Using Zotero with LaTeX and Overleaf

You can use Zotero with LaTex in two ways.

You can use them together directly with no add-ons or additional installations.

You can also use the add-on BetterBibTex to insert citations in LaTeX documents (including in the online platform Overleaf).  Yale Library has a helpful page with details on installation and use.  BetterBibTex adds features such as custom citation keys and automatically update citations from Zotero.
