- Institute for Energy Law (IEL)IEL is a membership organization that provides continuing legal education in oil and gas law, renewable energy law, international oil and gas law, energy litigation, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF)RMMLF is "a collaborative educational non-profit organization dedicated to the scholarly and practical study of the law and regulations relating to mining, oil and gas, water, public lands, energy, environmental protection, and other related areas".
- American Bar Assocation - Section of Environment, Energy and ResourcesAs well as producing Trends newsletter and the quarterly magazine, Natural Resources and Environment, this section offers the following committees: Environmental Enforcement and Crimes, International Environmental and Resources Law, Marine Resources, Smart Growth and Green Buildings, and Waste and Resource Recovery.
- Energy and Mineral Law FoundationThe Foundation is a non-profit national membership organization whose purpose is to educate and promote "the study of the laws and regulations related to natural resource development and energy use".
- Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC)The mission of OPEC is "to coordinate and unify the petroleum policies of its Member Countries and ensure the stabilization of oil markets in order to secure an efficient, economic and regular supply of petroleum to consumers, a steady income to producers and a fair return on capital for those investing in the petroleum industry". OPEC currently has 12 member countries. OPEC publishes books, reports, bulletins, and the annual World Oil Outlook.
- Energy Bar Assocation (EBA)EBA is an international, non-profit association of 2600 members with chapters across the U.S. EBA's mission is to "promote the professional excellence and ethical integrity of its members in the practice, administration, and development of energy laws, regulations and policies". EBA produces newsletters, videos, and publishes the Energy Law Journal law review.
- International Atomic Energy Association (IAEA)Operating within the framework of the United Nations, IAEA is an independent international organization created to work with Member States and other partners to "promote safe, secure and peaceful nuclear technologies".
IAEA produces scientific and technical publications, as well as bulletins, reports, booklets, and fact sheets. - Independent Petroleum Assocation of America (IPAA)IPAA is an association of crude oil and natural gas explorers and producers, whose mission is to ensure "a strong, viable domestic oil and natural gas industry, recognizing that an adequate and secure supply of energy is essential to the national economy". IPAA produces an annual nationwide statistical publication, a seasonal magazine, press releases and fact sheets.
